Criminals are sending fake emails on behalf of Zilveren Kruis
Some customers receive emails with titles like 'Update Your Payment Details!' or 'Reminder: Outstanding Amount for Health Insurance.' Always check if a payment reminder is also listed in Mijn Zilveren Kruis or our app. Additionally, criminals send emails about a free medical kit with first aid supplies (medicare). Check Fraudehelpdesk.nl to see which fake messages are circulating.
We never ask you to provide personal or financial information by email of WhatsApp. Always check the sender and the account number. Only pay us at NL 58 INGB 0000 0030 50. More information is available in Dutch only.

I'm calling on behalf of someone else. What do I need?
You need permission from that person. Without it, we cannot discuss personal details with anyone else due to privacy. The person who gives your permission can complete the machtigingsformulier. Further information is available in Dutch only.
Do I need proof of insurance if I go on holiday abroad?
The care provider will ask for proof of insurance if you need care (in Dutch only). In many countries your healthcare card with EHIC is sufficient and you can find your healthcare card in the Zilveren Kruis app.
Check which proof of insurance you need
In some countries, such as Turley, you will need a 111 form, but you don’t need to apply for one beforehand as you can call Eurocross Assistance in case of an emergency and they will send the 111 form directly to the hospital. Further information is available in Dutch only.
Where can I find my health insurance card?
You can find your health insurance card in the Zilveren Kruis app. It's always at hand, so you'll never lose it. Did you know that you can also view the health insurance cards of those who are co-insured? To make things easier for you, the app is also available in English
Tip: If you don't have internet access abroad, take a screenshot of your health insurance card at home, as unfortunately, the app doesn't work without internet.
